American consulate issues humanitarian visa for 11 year old Dominican girl battling cancer
On February 4, 2019 the American consulate at Santo Domingo issuead a five-year multiple visa to 11-year old Elizabeth Vazquez who is battling cancer.
NPDF Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti aafter a private meeting with the US consulate general convinced him of the importance of issuing the humanitarian visa so Elizabeth can continue with her cancer treatment in the United States for the next three years.
